Pocket Poppy: First Day Nerves
New school, new class, new teacher, new friends. Sometimes the flutters start in your belly before the day has even started, and these notes are for exactly that.
First Day Nerves is a small note for a child to carry with them in their pocket, school bag, pencil case, or wherever it can offer them a little comfort. Of course, the note won't stop them from feeling nervous; however, it will tell them that they are not alone, that nerves are completely normal, and that they are braver than they think.
Kids Version: Written for children, in words that make sense to them when they're young and their stomach is in somersaults. It acts as something for them to hold when they can't take a grown-up with them.
Parent Version: Because the first day is a big one for parents too, this little note contains a few reassuring words for the grown-up who is waving goodbye at the gate and trying their best not to cry.
Buy either one on its own, or get both together so you each have something to hold on to and feel a deeper connection to one another. Your child gets one, and you get the other, so you're nervous together.
